Quick Cinnamon Rolls!

These are a quick version of my 4 hour recipe, yet just as yummy! They only take about an hour, instead of four.

1/3 cup sugar
3 Tbs yeast
1/2 cup oil
1 1/4 cup warm water
2 beaten eggs
5 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt

Filling
1/4 cup melted (preferably unsalted) butter
cinnamon
Dark brown sugar

*In a large bowl, mix 1/3 cup sugar, yeast, oil and warm water until dissolved. Cover and let stand in a warm place for 15 minutes. (Yeast will grow rapidly.) Blend eggs into yeast mixture. Add salt to the flour, then gradually add to yeast mixture to make a soft dough. Knead dough about 5 minutes on a floured surface. Roll dough into a rectangle brush dough with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll up the dough and cut 1 inch slices with dental floss. Place in an ungreased pan. Let rolls rest about 15 minutes. Bake @ 350 degrees until golden brown. Glaze while warm, or frost when cool.

Glaze

powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon butter
milk
vanilla
mix together and pour on top of warm (not hot) rolls.

Jenny, I had to tell you I have stolen yet another idea from you! I had been thinking of doing a blog just for my recipes...to put them all in one convenient place, and then you did one. It is so great! So you inspired me to get busy and do my own. I love it. I am sure I will be on here stealing some of your recipes as well! They all look good!
